Inmate Bonding Hours Are Between 8AM - 5PM Monday - Friday

Inmate Approved Items 

  • Glasses or Contact lenses.

  • Medical devices or aids authorized by the Sheriff's Office. 

  • A non-metallic rosary, crucifix or other religious medallion not exceeding 1-1/2 inches in diameter.

  • Letters received while in the Trego County Jail 

  • Commissary Items. 

  • No more than 3 books, regardless of their source.

  • Magazines and books must come directly from a seller such as amazon. 

  • inmates are allowed to have white under garments sent to them including: 

    • White bra (without wire) ​

    • white tank top

    • white boxer/briefs 

    • white Longjohns

Detention Facility Details 

The Trego County Detention Facility holds both male and female prisoners for the Trego County Sheriff's Office, WaKeeney Police Department, Kansas Highway Patrol and Kansas Wildlife and Parks. It is a 9-bed facility with 2 full time Detention Deputies. 

Visitations

Visitations are on Thursdays from 2:00pm to 4:00pm.  
Visits are limited to family who are 14 years of age or older.
